Distribute new Plus Two certificates soon: Minister

Kerala

Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty has directed that original certificates be distributed without delay to students who had received Plus Two certificates with errors in their continuous evaluation marks.

The Minister has also ordered an inquiry into the incident. A committee comprising the higher secondary joint director (academic), a representative of State IT cell, and a representative of the Government Press will conduct the probe. The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by the Minister on Tuesday.

Nearly 4.5 lakh certificate data had been given for printing. Certificates of nearly 30,000 students reflect errors in the Plus One and Plus Two continuous evaluation marks in the fourth subject.

If the certificates with errors have been distributed, these should be taken back when the new certificates arrive. If their distribution has not been completed, Principals should distribute only the corrected certificates. The certificates with errors should be stored safely in schools.
