: Tensions flared in Taliparamba in Kannur, Kerala, after CPI(M) workers allegedly attacked the house of Congress Taliparamba constituency vice president K. Irrshad. The incident, which took place on Thursday midnight, involved vandalism and an attempted assault.

The group damaged Irshad’s car parked in the compound and shattered the windows of the house. The attackers also reportedly attempted to assault Irshad’s father during the incident.

The police are investigating the motive behind the violence. No arrests have been made so far.
