CCPA asks Ola Electric for comments on alleged violation of customer rights

Ola Electric has received a communication from Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) asking the EV firm to offer comments on its “alleged violations of consumer rights, deficiency in service, misleading advertisements, etc.”, within seven days.

“In continuation of our earlier disclosures dated October 7, 2024, October 21, 2024, December 5, 2024, January 07, 2025, January 10, 2025 and February 19, 2025 pertaining to communications received from the CCPA, we would like to inform you that the company has, on October 28, 2025, received an email from the CCPA enclosing an Investigation Report and directing the company to provide comments thereon within seven days,” Ola Electric said in a regulatory filing on Wednesday.

The CCPA has also fixed a hearing on November 10. The company said it was in the process of obtaining legal advice in this regard.
