CBSE Class 10th, 12th Results 2025: What’s new this year?

As a first, CBSE has introduced a six-digit “access code” based activation for students’ Digilocker accounts. After the activation of Digilocker accounts, students can access their Digital Academic Documents under the ‘Issued Documents’ section.

The student-wise ‘Access Code’ file is being made available to schools in their Digilocker accounts from where the institutes can download and disseminate the Access Code to individual students.

CBSE has also revised the procedure to address student grievances related to Class 10 and 12 results this year. As per the latest guidelines, students must first request a photocopy of their evaluated answer book before applying for mark verification or re-evaluation. This marks a shift from the earlier process, where students first applied for mark verification, followed by obtaining the answer sheet and then requesting re-evaluation.

CBSE Results 2025: Passing marks

CBSE students must secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject to pass. This includes both theory and practical components, wherever applicable. In subjects that have practical exams, students are required to score at least 33% separately in both theory and practical to be considered as having passed. Additionally, students must also achieve 33% overall in the aggregate across all subjects. Failing to meet the minimum requirement in any individual component may result in the student being declared as having failed that subject.
