A newborn infant was received in the Ammathottil electronic cradle of the Kerala State Council for Child Welfare on Friday evening.
The three-day-old boy, weighing 2.4 kg and wearing anklets, was taken immediately to the Women and Children Hospital, Thycaud, for a preliminary examination following which he was declared healthy.
He was named Saman, council general secretary G.L. Arun Gopi said.
