The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on April 16 released the timetable for the Class 10 and 12 special and compartment exams for 2025. The board will conduct these exams for students who either flunked or missed their annual board exams that were held in February.
BSEB Class 10 (Matric) special and compartment exams will begin on May 2, 2025 and will be conducted in two shifts each day — the morning shift from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM and the afternoon shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM.
Bihar Board Class 12 (Intermediate) students can appear for their special and compartment exams on May 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 13. These exams will also be conducted in two shifts daily, and as per board, Inter students will get an extra 15 minutes before the start to read the question paper.
Students appearing for the Class 10 exams can apply for up to three subjects. This includes important subjects like English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science, as well as one optional subject.
The results for the BSEB compartment exams are expected to be declared by May 31. Earlier, for the BSEB Intermediate (Class 12) exams, the Board had announced that students seeking re-evaluation could apply for scrutiny from April 1 to April 8, 2025 following the result declaration.
The window for applying for the scrutiny process was closed on April 12, 2025.
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) had announced the results of the Inter and Matric annual examinations in March. Students who are dissatisfied with their marks in one or more subjects will be given the opportunity to apply for scrutiny of their answer sheets.
