The Galaxy S25 Edge was first teased back in January during the first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025, and Samsung also showcased it at the Mobile World Congress 2025.
According to leaks and rumours, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be one of the slimmest flagship smartphones, measuring just 6.4mm. In contrast, the standard Galaxy S25 measures 7.2mm. While this may seem like a minor thickness reduction, achieving it on a smartphone form factor required Samsung to miniaturise the entire internal hardware of the phone.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy S25 Edge is said to be on par with other flagships, except for the battery and cameras. The device is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, possibly with at least 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
At the rear, the phone will feature two cameras — a 200 MP main sensor, similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, along with a dedicated 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The smartphone is likely to pack a 3,900 mAh battery, possibly with support for 25W or 45W fast charging. It may miss out on wireless charging, which would help the brand further reduce the phone’s thickness.
Although the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to set a new standard in the world of big and bulky flagships, it is still likely to feature a 6.7-inch screen, similar to the Galaxy S25+, offering an uncompromised content consumption experience.
In terms of pricing, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be positioned between the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and might be priced around the Rs 1,00,000 mark. Just like Samsung, Apple is also said to be working on a thin flagship dubbed the iPhone 17 Air, which is reportedly thinner and lighter than the Galaxy S25 Edge.
