B. Ashok has been shifted from the post of Agriculture Production Commissioner and Principal Secretary (additional charge) of Agriculture. The 1998 batch IAS officer has been appointed Chairman and Managing Director, Kerala Transport Development Finance Corporation (KTDFC).
Tinku Biswal, a 1997 batch IAS officer, has been appointed in his stead as Agriculture Production Commissioner.
Ms. Biswal will also hold full additional charges of Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Principal Secretary, Transport.
Mr. Ashok’s transfer comes on the heels of a controversy over a contentious government order related to the leakage of information on the World Bank-aided Kerala Climate Resilient Agri-value Chain Modernisation Project (KERA) to the press. The order on his transfer noted that he is being posted as CMD, KTDFC, under Rule 6(2)(i) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre ) Rules, 1954.
P.B. Nooh, Special Secretary, Transport, will hold the full additional charge of Managing Director, Kerala Water Authority.
