The Divecha Centre for Climate Change of the Indian Institute of Science is organising a one-day awareness programme for students on ‘Climate change and the environment’ at the Loyola School on Friday.
The programme is being organised in association with Talentspire. V. Narayanan, Chairperson, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), will inaugurate the event which will be held from 8.50 a.m. to 3 p.m. Eminent scientists including S. K. Satheesh, chairperson, Divecha Centre for Climate Change, will present presentations on the latest studies and findings on arresting climate change and interact with the students.
An inter-school quiz competition is being conducted as part of the programme in which the first three schools will be given trophies by the Indian Institute of Science, a statement said.
