Award for play Gandhi

The Vayalar Drama Award instituted by the Vayalar Ramavarma Samskriti Vedi has been awarded to the play Gandhi by Pathanapuram Gandhi Bhavan Theatre India. The award consists of a cash prize of ₹50,001, a citation and a statuette. The play has been selected for the award by a committee comprising filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan as the jury chairperson and George Onakkur and Soorya Krishnamoorthy as its members. The play was written by Francis T.Mavelikkara and directed by Meenambalam Santhosh.
