President Droupadi Murmu will take part in the centenary celebrations of St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam. Ms. Murmu will be the chief guest at the event to be held at the Platinum Jubilee Auditorium of the college on October 24 at 12 noon.
She will release the centenary logo of the college at the function, the college authorities told the media on Thursday (October 16, 2025).
Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Union Minister Suresh Gopi, State Ministers P. Rajeeve and V.N. Vasavan, Mayor M. Anilkumar, Hibi Eden, MP; T.J. Vinod, MLA; Sr. Neelima, provincial superior, and Antony Valumkal, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Verapoly, will attend.
College director Sr. Tessa said the college had been focussing on women’s education, the vision set by its founder a century ago. The college plans to support women in business incubation and entrepreneurship development in the coming years, said Nirmala Padmanabhan, Dean, Extension and Incubation.
College Principal Anu Joseph, Sr. Francis Ann, director, Science Block; Sr. Shilpa, local manager; M. Sajimol Augustine, Latha Nair R., and Kala M.S. were present.
