Jeevitholsavam 2025, a State-level event organised by the National Service Scheme (NSS) for higher secondary students, was launched on Wednesday to guide the students to become responsible citizens in a modern democracy.
The project involves work-based and reform-oriented challenges over 21 days with anti-drug messaging at its core.
General Education Minister V. Sivankutty inaugurated the project at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Cotton Hill. Antony Raju, Thiruvananthapuram MLA, presided. Over 1,000 students attended the event, where NSS volunteers showcased their performances. NSS regional director Y.S. Uppin, NSS State programme coordinator S. Shajitha, State advisory body member Ratheesh Kaliyadan, school Principal V. Greeshma and headmistress G. Geetha were present.
