Congress leader T.N. Prathapan has been selected for Devadath G. Purakkad Memorial Award. The award, instituted by Devadath G. Purakkad Memorial Trust, consists of ₹25,000 cash prize, a memento and citation. Mr. Prathapan was selected for the award for his contributions in the socio-political and environmental fields. It will be presented to him by Congress leader V.M. Sudheeran in a function to be held at Ambalappuzha Town Hall on September 30 at 3:30 p.m.
