The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), is set to conclude the registration process for the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Security Assistant/Executive recruitment on August 17. The online applications opened on July 26 and candidates who have not yet applied can complete their registration through the official website at mha.gov.in.

The recruitment drive is being carried out to fill 4,987 vacancies across various Subsidiary Intelligence Bureaus. Applicants must fall within the age limit of 18 to 27 years as on the last date of application.

In terms of educational eligibility, candidates should have passed Class 10 or hold an equivalent qualification from a recognised board. For positions under a particular Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB), candidates must also be proficient in at least one of the languages or dialects specified for that SIB. They should be able to read, write, and speak it fluently.

How to apply for IB Security Assistant/Executive recruitment 2025

Step 1: Go to the official website (mha.gov.in) and open the Security Assistant/Executive recruitment page.
Step 2: Click “New Registration,” enter your basic details, and verify your email ID and mobile number.
Step 3: Log in with the newly created credentials to access the application form.
Step 4: Fill in personal information, educational details (Class 10), category, and the preferred Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB) along with the language/dialect you are proficient in.
Step 5: Upload the required documents in the prescribed formats, typically a recent passport photo, signature, Class 10 certificate/marksheet, and valid photo ID; upload language proof if asked.
Step 6: Review the filled form carefully and correct any mistakes before proceeding.

Candidates are advised to download the confirmation page and keep a printed copy for future reference. The fee for registration is set at Rs 100, while recruitment processing charges amount to Rs 550.

The selection procedure for Security Assistant/Executive posts will be conducted in multiple stages. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in two written examinations, Tier I and Tier II, followed by an interview round. Those who qualify will be appointed under Level 3 of the pay matrix with a salary ranging between Rs 21,700 and Rs 69,100, along with admissible allowances.

Through this drive, the Intelligence Bureau aims to recruit 4,987 candidates for the Security Assistant/Executive cadre. The post offers a steady government service career with language-based eligibility requirements, making it a crucial recruitment exercise for one of the country’s most significant intelligence organisations.
