The Kalamassery police arrested a man and a woman who reportedly tried to flee after abandoning an infant.
The baby was delivered at the Government Medical College Hospital, Kalamassery, on July 26 and was reportedly abandoned on August 2 at a house at Kadungallor.
The infant and the woman were handed over to the Child Welfare Committee, while the man was remanded in custody.
