DP World Cochin handled 54 vessels, including several mother ships, in June, 2025.

The International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) at Vallarpadam here operated by DP World has recorded a 35% increase in June 2025 by handling over 81,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) compared to May 2025, according to a communication.
In June, the operator had handled 54 vessels, including several mother ships, said Dipin Kayyath, chief executive officer, Ports & Terminals, DP World Cochin.
The terminal’s power infrastructure has been upgraded from 3 MVA to 5 MVA, ensuring uninterrupted operations even during peak demand periods. The full electrification of yard equipment has significantly reduced the carbon footprint of cargo handling, according to the release.
