7-year-old girl died after tree falls on her

A 7-year-old girl died after a tree fell on her at Navaikkulam in the city on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Rizwana from Kudavoor near Navaikkulam. According to the police, the incident happened around 10 a.m. on Sunday. She is believed to have ran on hearing the sound of a tree branch cracking to save the life of her younger sibling who was playing nearby. Though she was rushed to the hospital, her life could not be saved.
