A 29-year-old man was stabbed to death at Thumpamonthodi near Chithara in Kollam, Kerala, on Tuesday night. The deceased has been identified as Sujin of Madathara. His friend Anandu, who sustained injuries in the attack, has been admitted to a hospital.
The duo, who were returning home on a motorbike after playing a game of carrom, were reportedly attacked by a five-member gang around 11 p.m. Though Sujin, who sustained stab injuries to his stomach, was rushed to a hospital his life could not be saved. Anandu suffered injuries to his back.
The police suspect that previous enmity was the reason behind the murder.
Some of the accused have reportedly been taken into custody.
