More than 20 people were injured, one of them seriously, when a giant banyan tree fell on a private bus when the vehicle was on the move at Puliyakkode near Wandoor in Malappuram on Tuesday (May 27, 2025) evening.
The bus was badly damaged in the incident. The injured were rushed to various hospitals at Wandoor and Perinthalmanna. The bus was heading towards Vazhikkadavu from Perinthalmanna.
