₹17.08 crore sanctioned for midday meal cooks

The government has sanctioned ₹17.08 crore for payment of honorarium for July and Onam festival allowance to school midday meal cooks.

An amount of ₹15.01 crore has been sanctioned as State’s additional share for the midday meal cooks’ honorarium for July, Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty said in a statement on Saturday. Besides this, ₹2.06 crore was sanctioned as their Onam festival allowance.
